PEFTOK Veterans Association, Inc. (Operating under the name of PVAI), a second-generation PVAI Organization incorporated in the Philippines and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on August 14, 2018, per SEC Reg No. CN201817306, as a non-stock corporation.
The Philippine Expeditionary Force of Korea (PEFTOK) is a group of five Philippine Army BCTs (10th, 2nd, 19th, 14th, 2nd) Consisting of 7420 officers and enlisted men who fought and served in the Korean War.
These battalions constituted the Regimental Combat Team promised by the Philippine Government to United Nations War Effort. The Philippines was the first Asian country to send combat troops and the third in the world to partake in the Korean War that began on June 25, 1950, until 1955.
Decades after the war, South Korea still celebrates the Filipino’s heroism through continuous commemoration and still provides help and support in terms of scholarship programs to their descendants.
